Photographe et styliste, Éthiopie

Eyerusalem Adugna Jiregna (b.1993) is an emerging photographer and fashion designer based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Informed by her experience in design, she uses photography to document the vibrant everyday realities of the nation's inhabitants. She specialises in evocative and sensitive portraits, which are disinguished by their brilliant multitude of colours and textures.

Jiregna has received considerable acclaim for her work both in Ethiopia and internationally. She has exhibited at the Kasher Gallery, Refraction: New Photography of Africa and Its Diaspora (2018); From Our Perspective: Young Ethiopian Photographers Changing the Gaze; the New York photography festival Photoville 2016 and participated in the New York Times Portfolio Review 2016. Her work will be part of the upcoming exhibition: Treasures of Islam in Africa. From Timbuktu to Zanzibar at the Musée Mohammed VI d'art moderne et contemporain in Rabat. Eyerusalem Jiregna has studied in Ethiopia and in the USA. Her photographs have been featured among others on the Everyday Horn of Africa in Mfon: Women Photographers of the African Diaspora; Marie Claire and Whitewall Magazine. She was recently named as featured in the New York Times article "Five Art Accounts to Follow on Instagram Now".

Graciela Iturbide was born in Mexico City in 1942. She studied at the University Center for Cinematographic Studies of the Autonomous University of Mexico. Since then, she has photographed what surprises her, using the camera as a pretext to discover the world. From 1971 to date, her work has been exhibited in more than ninety solo shows and numerous group exhibitions in museums, galleries, and institutions specializing in modern and contemporary photography in America, Europe, and Asia.

Among the awards, scholarships, and work commissions with which her work has been recognized are the W. Eugene Smith Prize, the Grand Prize of the Month of Photography in Paris, the Grand Prize of Hokkaido, Japan, and the Prize of the City from Arles, France. In 2008, her work was honored with the highest recognition in the world of photography, the Hasselblad Foundation Award. In 2014, the National Council for Culture and the Arts paid tribute to her work at the Palacio de Bellas Artes, and that year she was awarded the Infinity Prize by the International Center of Photography in recognition of her career. Recently, the National Museum of Women in the Arts recognized her with the Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in the Arts 2020 and the Sony World Photography Organization granted her the Outstanding Contribution to Photography Award 2021.

Caroline Metcalfe is a Director of Photography and runs CMC consulting. Well connected with photographers, agents and publishers globally she specializes in commissioning, editing, researching and conceptualizing photography, including shoot production and project management in both editorial and commercial spheres.

Most recently Director of Photography at Conde Nast Traveller, her career spans being Photo Editor of several newspaper magazine including the Financial Times, The Independent, Saturday Telegraph magazine and the Observer.

She currently works on a broad range of editorial magazines commissioning covers and 10-12 page photo essays. Primarily she works on a number of global commercial photographic projects focusing on luxury and lifestyle brands.

She has run workshops and discussion groups on lifestyle photography and is a regular judge of high-profile international photography competitions. She participates in portfolio reviews and mentoring.

Caroline is known to be a passionate and resourceful problem-solver with over 20 years experience and extensive global contacts. She has worked with some of the world’s best-known photographers as well as always being committed to encouraging new talent.

GMB Akash est un photographe bangladais primé dont les travaux ont paru dans plus de 100 publications majeures, dont Vogue, The Economist, Amnesty Journal et The Fader. Ses photographies ont été exposées dans le monde entier, avec des expositions solos au Bangladesh, en Allemagne, au Portugal et aux États-Unis.

En 2002, il est devenu le premier bangladais à être sélectionné pour la Masterclass World Press Photo Joop Swart aux Pays-Bas. En 2004, il a reçu le prix Young Reporters du festival Scope Photo. Et en 2009, le titre international de "photographe de voyage de l'année" au concours International Travel Photographer of the Year.

En 2012, il a présenté les résultats de son projet échelonné sur 10 ans "Survivors". Les bénéfices tirés de la publication ont été versé aux sujets du livre afin de les aider à créer leur propre petite entreprise.

En 2013, il a fondé au Bangladesh l'Institut de photographie GMB Akash, qui lui a permis d'enseigner à des étudiants venant du monde entier. Les revenus de ses ateliers de photographie sont destinés à l'éducation de base des enfants des rues, des étudiants talentueux et défavorisés et des enfants qui travaillent.

GMB Akash a déjà été membre du jury de concours photo internationaux tels que le concours photo international Les Amis de la Terre (Pays-Bas) et le Worldwide Photography Gala Award (au Royaume-Uni). En décembre 2017, il a participé au National Geographic Exodus Fest à Aveiro, au Portugal, où il a exposé, prononcé un discours et donné une master class.

Avec une focalisation particulière sur la photographie humaniste, la carrière primée de Song Gangming s'étend sur 43 ans.

En 2004, son travail "Blessing" a remporté le 27ème prix d'excellence de la Biennale Photographique en Noir et Blanc. En 2005, "Dawn" a remporté la médaille d'or à la 14ème exposition Hasselblad en Autriche. Son travail "Hui Ju Reflection" a remporté le premier prix du Prix de la contribution humaine des Nations Unies en 2000, le Silver Award de la 27ème exposition nationale de films de Chine et le septième Gold Award chinois de la photographie d'art. En 2006, il a remporté le prix spécial de contribution pour le 50ème anniversaire de l'association des photographes chinois.

En 2013, "The Long March", filmée au cours d'un voyage en solo de 1 290 km, et son exposition "The Long March of One Man", qui l'accompagne, ont remporté le prix de la catégorie "enregistrement social" de l'exposition 2016 de PingYao International Photography.

En 2018, il a été juge aux 12ème prix de l'académie de photographie en Chine.

Coşkun Aral est né à Siirt, en Turquie. Il a commencé le photojournalisme en 1974 dans les journaux Günaydın et Gün.

Il a été reconnu par la presse internationale lorsque ses photos étaient distribuées par l'agence de photo française Sipa Press et publiées dans les magazines d'informations Time et Newsweek.

Dans les années 1980, Sipa Press a assigné Coşkun Aral à couvrir différentes régions du monde, telles que Liban, l'Iran, l'Irak, l'Afghanistan, l'Irlande du Nord, le Tchad et l'Extrême-Orient.

Il a poursuivi sa profession de photojournaliste au service des hebdomadaires Time, Newsweek, Paris Match, Stern et Época.

Il produit et dirige l’émission de télévision Haberci ("Le reporter"), qui est diffusée sur les chaînes de télévision internationales turques. Il est cofondateur et directeur général de la première chaîne turque de documentaires et de voyages İZ TV.

Ses œuvres ont été exposées dans le monde entier.
