Sylvie Brieu is a journalist, an author and an educator who graduated from the Sorbonne and UC Berkeley. Brieu is a founding member of National Geographic France and a former Board member of National Geographic Society’s “All Roads Film Project”. This program provided a platform for underrepresented, minority-culture storytellers from around the world. Brieu has written numerous articles, which predominantly address cultural diversity and women issues. Her books mainly focus on Indigenous peoples who are working creatively for social change and environmental justice. In addition, she lectures and offers workshops to schools, universities, UNESCO, National Geographic Society and the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society.
